- Postoperative bleeding: Early revision and hemostasis
- Subphrenic abscess: Preferably CT-guided drainage
- Pleural effusion: If it impairs breathing, drainage/aspiration
- Pneumonia: Antibiotics
- Thrombocytosis: Antiplatelet agents, if necessary
- Pancreatic fistula: Drainage
- Infections: Symptomatic, antibiotics
- Portal vein thrombosis: Full heparinization, oral anticoagulants. Monitoring of at-risk patients in the first postoperative year by diagnostic Doppler ultrasonography and D-dimer testing
